The following article has been replaced with a newer article: How to link a zyBook assignment to an LMS
The article below is still relevant but will retire on 12/15 in favor of the newer article linked above.
Please read our article on Single sign-on first.
Also, please ensure that your LMS administrator has configured Brightspace with the authentication secret and key. If not, you’ll require these items when creating a link to the zyBook.
Step 1 - Creating the link in Brightspace
Begin by going to your course content. Go to Add Existing Activities and then choose External Learning Tools:
Choose the zyBooks external tool that you or your system administrator created and named earlier:
A new link is now created. Click on the newly made assignment link and it will open zyBooks within the Brightspace platform. You can click on the arrow next to the link name to edit the link title.
Step 2 - Configure the link on the zyBooks website
The zyBooks window that will open will ask you to choose which zyBook you are linking to:
Within the zyBook you choose, you will need to select "Link to section":
Linking to a section or the table of contents will provide students with a link to that section from Brightspace, no grade reporting will occur.
Once a section has been selected, the link will be accessible by students from Brightspace.
Once created and linked, students will be able to see the link in Brightspace.
